Your browser cannot read the clipboard automatically on this page. Press Ctrl+V (Mac: Command+V) below, or use your device's Paste menu, then select Insert text.

Using the AES tool

Enter your text, choose padding, and provide a secret key of 16, 24, or 32 UTF-8 bytes. Use the same key, padding, and IV to decrypt the Base64 result.

Copy and Cut use the selected input text, or the whole input if nothing is selected. Paste replaces the selection at the cursor. Ctrl+C, Ctrl+X, Ctrl+V, and Ctrl+Z also work in input fields. Clear removes text and its result; Reset restores the entire operation.

An optional IV must be exactly 16 UTF-8 bytes. A blank IV uses zero bytes for compatibility. CBC does not authenticate ciphertext.
